Ouch

So I went to the doctor's today. I already had an appointment schedule as I was getting over a bladder infection, and it wasn't getting better (even with prescriptions!) Well, it got better, but I got sick, so I decided to keep the appointment.

I head to Lufkin at 7:30am for my 8am appointment. Once I am there, I talk with Phyllis (who has been there for ever!) about all that is going on. Dr. Spinks (an amazing doctor who has seen me since I was just a bean) comes in, and informs me that this mess is going around. It starts off like allergies, and then you get the cough. So I now have cough medicine (which from what he said, doesn't sound yummy) and some pills to take for 7 days. Oh goody! On top of it all, and why my title is "ouch" - I had to get a shot.

Okay, if you know me, you know I don't like shots. Not as bad as my husband, but I don't like them. I have never liked them. I remember having to get a shot in the butt while being held down by 4 people (including my mom) because I couldn't just sit there and I was hysterical! My brother went first, and even though it didn't bother him, he saw me just watching in fear and decided to cry. Yea - that got me even more in the changing area/corner.

Back to today... I had to get the shot in my hip. OUCH! They say it should help a lot, and will last for 6 days, but man oh man. That baby didn't feel good when it went in nor afterwards. But it's all better now!

I even took Lexie for a walk on La Nana Creek Trail, and I'm not feeling too bad. Her allergies started acting up too - so benedryl it was. :)

Side note: I got an A in HMS 459 - Marriages & Families! I'm super happy about it!! I've had Dr. Saracino for 4 semesters now, and just couldn't get that A. I would miss it by just a few points... literally like 4-7 points. My other class, we just won't talk about it. But 459 - YAY!! But I enjoy marriage & family topics!
